On the personal side: I am a single mom of an only child. I am a licensed high school educator and hold a Masters in Applied Linguistics. I was the primary caregiver for my mother throughout her illness; she died this year. I am fully tri-lingual (native Italian, Spanish, and English) and love to use my other foreign languages (French, Brazilian Portuguese). I have many diverse interests, which support my professional projects in terms of in-depth knowledge of content and terminology; I love to eat well, travel, read, dance (ballroom and tango).

Professionally, I am a freelance interpreter and translator, with over 20 years' experience in simultaneous and consecutive (predominantly court) interpreting, technical translations, editing, and proofreading. I am also a writerand was an educator at various levels for over a decade, holding 3 Massachusetts educator certifications in Italian, Spanish, and ESL.

My company, Language Development Company, LLC, has just published its first e-book, for children ages 8-12, titled "Bedtime Myths For Children Of All Ages: Solar Stories;" this is a collection of four myths about or mentioning the Sun. Our second collection, "Bedtime Myths For Children Of All Ages: Rome Rises!" is due out soon, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble Nook, and Smashwords.
